Assistant Professor of Information Science
Casey Fiesler is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Science at CU Boulder. Armed with a PhD in Human-Centered Computing and a JD from Vanderbilt Law School, she primarily researches the intersection of online communities, social norms, and law. As a copyright activist, she has interned with Creative Commons and sits on the legal committee for the Organization for Transformative Works. She is also a frequent commentator on issues of women in STEM, and is known for her remix of a book about Computer Engineer Barbie and commentary on Game Developer Barbie.
